Our take
I bought the Mixtrack Pro 3 as my first real controller, and it's been a workhorse. The built-in sound card means no extra hardware, and the mic input is handy for announcements. The line/phono switch lets me connect turntables, which is a nice bonus. The controller feels sturdy enough for home use, and the included case protects it for gigs. However, the pads are a bit small and the pitch faders are short, making precise adjustments tricky. The Serato software is solid, but the controller lacks some advanced features. For $150 with a case, it's a great entry point, but serious DJs might want more.
